The adductor canal begins in the apex of the femoral triangle- bordered by the following: Laterally and anteriorly by the vastus medialis ( YES, laterally by the Medialis, medially and posteriorly by the adductor longus and on the distal end the adductor magnus. The canal ends at the adductor hiatus (near medial condyle of femur). This is where two of the vessels (femoral artery and nerve exit) after the femoral vein passes behind the femoral artery.
: 23. What are the contents of the adductor canal? The contents include the femoral artery and vein, saphenous nerve, and nerve of the vastus medialis.
: 24.What enters the adductor canal but exits before the canal terminates into the popliteal fossa? Nerve to the vastus intermedius?

: 27. Is there a superficial pudendal artery? Yes Superficial epigastric artery? Yes Superficial circumflex iliac artery? Yes. All of these listed arise from the femoral artery. A greater saphenous artery? A greater saphenous artery does NOT exist.

The fascia lata is broad superiorly, stretching anteriorly from the superior ramus of the pubis and across the inguinal ligament, laterally to the iliac crest, and finally posteriorly to the sacrum and coccyx.
: 33. What is the iliotibial tract - what is its origin and termination? What muscles insert into the iliotibial tract? On the lateral side of the thigh (hip to knee only) the fascia lata thickens to form the stabilizing iliotibial tract.
