Note.  This image is a lingitudinal scan through the bladder and the uterus.  The patient's head is to the viewer's left.  The large black area ventrally is the patient's bladder.  The uterus is the eggshaped echogenic structure immediately dorsal to the bladder.  Centrally within the uterus are several very bright echoes representing the endometrial cavity.
